More about DEBRA South Africa
The group name 'DEBRA' was first created overseas many years ago. It stands for Dystrophic EB Research Association. While we are not doing that type of work, many DEBRA groups now exist around the world to keep a level of consistency and to create a louder voice together.
Our group is made up of patients, their friends and families and also medical professionals that work with EB patients. We have found that it is very helpful to connect and network with other organisations that are doing the same work. This helps us to learn from the best and to also no re-invent the wheel.
